Come sai, Lennie Tristano registrò nel 1955 quattro pezzi in cui il nastro magnetico veniva accelerato (Line Up, East Thirty Second), o due registrazioni venivano sovrapposte (Requiem, Turkish Mambo).
Quello che non tutti sanno è che entrambi gli artifizî Tristano aveva già impiegato nel 1951 per questi due pezzi in trio (Ju-Ju è Indiana, Pastime è You Go to My Head). Il tecnico del suono, nell’occasione, era il grande Rudy Van Gelder.
