Vehuel (John Zorn)

 «The Unknown Masada» raccoglie composizioni di John Zorn suppongo concepite per il quartetto Masada ma non eseguite da esso; l’interpretazione ne è affidata a dodici organici, guidati da collaboratori, accoliti o ammiratori di Zorn.

 Qui a guidare il complesso è Dave Douglas, forse il più illustre dei compagni di strada di Zorn. Il quintetto è una specie di all stars e nella formazione è elencato anche il tecnico della registrazione, il noto pianista zorniano Jamie Saft.

 Vehuel è il nome di un angelo. Il disco non ha note di copertina, ma due citazioni, una da Albert Einstein
